Who we are
Orange Otter, 75A Mortimer Road, South Shields, Tyne & Wear NE33 4TS. We are responsible for the personal details you give us on this website. Contact us any time at hello@theorangeotter.co.uk.
What we collect and why
- Opening day tickets: your name and email address, your ticket number and whether you've been checked in. We use these to send and confirm your ticket and to check it at the door. We do this because you asked us for a ticket.
- Offers and news: only if you tick the box. We keep your email address (and name, if you give it) to send you Orange Otter offers and news. We do this with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time using the unsubscribe link in every email or by emailing us.
- Preventing abuse: we keep a scrambled (hashed) version of the network address used to sign up, so we can stop automated or bulk sign-ups. It can't be turned back into your address.
- Website statistics: we use privacy-friendly analytics that don't use cookies or identify you.
Who handles your details for us
Your details are stored securely with Supabase (database hosted in London, UK) and our emails are sent through our Hostinger email account. They act only on our instructions. We never sell your details or share them for anyone else's marketing.
How long we keep them
Ticket details are deleted within three months of opening day. If you joined our offers list, we keep your email address until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the details we hold about you, or object to how we use them. Just email hello@theorangeotter.co.uk. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your details, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Opening day ticket terms
- Tickets are free and limited to 70. One ticket per email address.
- Your ticket is only issued once you confirm your email address. Numbers are given in the order tickets are confirmed.
- One ticket admits one person, the named ticket holder, during opening hours on Friday 6 November 2026 only.
- Show your ticket on your phone at the door, or give us your ticket number and name. Each ticket can be used once.
- Tickets can't be sold, transferred or exchanged for anything else.
- We may refuse entry if a ticket has already been used, doesn't match our records, or for safety reasons, and we will follow all normal licensing rules on the day.
- If anything stops opening day going ahead, we'll email all ticket holders as soon as we can.
